This class provides an introduction to how a small utility or municipal shop can get started using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in their operations.
By the end of this webinar, attendees will have an improved understanding of the following:
> The basics of GIS and key terms
> How GIS could be useful for daily operations and long-term knowledge retention
> What options are out for GIS software or services
> How to digitize a paper maps and bring existing GIS data into your GIS
> How to find assets in a GIS, make a map, and share your data with others
