DESCRIPTION: This year’s conference contains something for everyone. Dealing with the public means dealing with disgruntled people, learn techniques for handling these situations. Cities and Counties have been working to inventory and evaluate the condition of their culverts. Now, learn techniques for repairing your culverts. A recent research project has been completed on roadside slope restoration through plantings, the results will be shared. Homeless encampments may interfere with maintenance and construction activities. Techniques for working within these situations will be shared. Maintenance workers may also find themselves in dangerous situations regarding roadside waste. Learn about identification and proper handling of roadside hazards. Lastly, we’ll end the day learning about new and upcoming innovations being deployed around the state and how some agencies have found innovative ways to work together and share resources for mutual benefit. \n\nRooms at Shanty Creek Resort are available at a per-night reduced rate. $108/guest room. $124/king studio parlor.
