Intended Audience: wastewater operators, utility board members, utility council members, consultants, rural and tribal community officials who are involved with environmental and housing programs
By the end of this training, attendees will be able to do the following:
• Identify common problems found during onsite wastewater inspections
• Describe how septic tanks and drain fields are inspected
• Explain how wastewater is treated in a septic system
• Analyze finding to develop a pumping schedule
This webinar will be of benefit to rural and tribal environmental and housing departments. It covers how to establish a robust inspection and maintenance program to ensure that household and community septic systems are properly inspected and maintained in a way that ensures environmental and public health.
